scented candle- Pomegranate & Mint

So this is a little different to my normal beauty posts, but I just couldn't resist. It was recently my birthday and one of friends got my this absolutely adorable little candle.
As you may no in the Winter I am obsessed with scented candles and cannot get enough of them! I normally go for flowery scents like sweet pea, but after getting this candle I am definitely going to be a bit more adventurous with my choosing.
This candle has a strange name, and once you've heard it you probably would have no idea what it smells like, well i certainly didn't! However I was deceived, it smells beautiful and so comforting, It is my new favourite and I recommend it to EVERYONE!

The packaging is absolutely divine as well, I love the passel colour at the moment it's so simple yet pretty!

As you can see I've only used a bit of it up cause i'm afraid I will run out!

Barry M- Nail polish

So, I personally struggle to find a nail polish that actually stays on my nails for more than 2 days. I'm not sure why my nails can't hold the polish on them, it may be because of the amount of grease or oil submitted in them, I really don't know.
I decided to do a little research as I know there are many people that have this problem, my friend and I both painted our nails with exactly the same nail polish, yet hers seemed to stay about 3 days longer than mine. She even does regular swimming and it still just doesn't seem too wear. When mine on the other hand struggles to stay on over 24 hours.
I did find a few suggestions like painting just past the nail to prevent chipping, however i find this to look rather messy. I also tried the new jelly nail polish that does stay on for a few weeks and is a very good idea, but it can be condemned as too expensive for a regular top up when you have to get it done professionally or spend out on your own kit.
Eventually I just accepted the fact that my nails clearly don't keep nail polish particularly well and I set out to find a perfect nail polish for me, Barry M- I truly think this is the best one I have tried, it last on my nails 2-3 days which is particularly great for me. I absolutely love it and would recommend it if you also have troubles with nail polish wearing off easily, if you have tried any others and feel they work better please tell me as I would love to try them out as well.

Colours:
So I have to themed favourites at the moment that i feel are very Winter/Autumn. They include a pale glossy blue and a warm comforting purple.

The blue shade reminded me of snow and the cold, I thought it would look nice when I am wrapped up in a cute hat&scarf set: TEAL-334

The deep purple reminded me of a warm comforting fire and it seemed to go with my cherry lipstick and jewelry: BERRY COSMO-356

I have not painted it on my nails because they are currently short and stubby and I felt they looked better still in the bottle!

Kate Moss- Lipstick

Kate moss's lipsticks are my favourite, especially the Matte ones. I do love a glossy finish when i'm going out for the evening, but day to day I find that the Matte version is the most simple but striking look. I have a few from this make but i have to say my favourite is the shade 107 it's a cherry red/ purple colour and has a Autumn and Winter feel to it. I personally find that it looks best with a cat flick of black eyeliner and a suttle shade of blush. This is how I do my makeup when using it.
My favourite shade and the newest one that I could photograph was shade 107:

You can find it in the Rimmel collection and any local drug store like Boots and Superdrug for £5:49 I do recommend this product and think it suits both blondes and brunettes, so don't worry about whether it will suit you. If you don't want to go as dark and bright as I like then a lighter shade of pink may work better for you for example there is shade: 101
Also if your considering a night out lipstick I do suggest you get the same make but with a gloss finish as it stays on about the same amount of time and has a effect of standing out and creating a perfect finish to your outfit.

Garnier Simple Essentials- soothing 2 in 1 make-up remover review.

There is always the one thing I have to be very selective of when doing my regular skin care regime, this is because I unfortunately have very sensitive skin.
As you probably know there is normally an option of make-up wipes or make up remover presented as a liquid. So up till recently I have always chosen to use make up wipes because I thought that it was easier and less effort then applying the liquid remover, something that has never really been an issue for me is my skin reacting to them so it was easier.
Then I started trying out some different makeup wipes as I found the previous ones did not remove my new eye make-up as well without having to scrub it off. These wipes made my skin become bright red and puffy which was very painful so I decided I needed to change my make-up remover. A friend of mine suggested this and once I tried it I absolutely feel in love, it's a perfect make up remover it vanishes all traces of my mascara which I normally find difficult to get rid of.
It does leave a sort of grease effect on your skin which if I’m honest did worry me a bit as I do have quite oily skin already and don't want to encourage that, but I soon realised it was just a stick proof effect that does help get rid of primers and bases which you may miss with a normal wipe. I highly recommend this product as it is great and really does do the job! I believe it is £2.99 which I find a good price considering the amount in it; I've been using it for about 2 months and am almost half way through it. If you are considering buying this item I suggest you also buy a set of giant baby cotton pads as they are perfect for a daily use of make-up remover!
